Per Student in a Lesson
Salary is calculated based on the number of students per lesson.
Example:
If there are 8 students in a lesson, and the staff teaches 5 lessons in a month for English Writing P2, with a rate of $100 per student per lesson, the total salary would be:
8 students × 5 lessons × $100 = $4,000
Notes:
-
"Any" means "All"
-
To ensure accurate salary calculation, students must be marked as Present, Late, Absent, or left Blank in the timetable.
Per Student Per Month
Salary is calculated based on the number of individual students per month. Each student is counted once, regardless of how many lessons they attend.
Example:
If there are 20 students enrolled in the English Writing P2 class for the month, and the staff rate is $500 per student per month, the total salary will be:
20 × $500 = $10,000
Even if those 20 students attend a total of 80 lessons, the calculation remains based on the 20 unique students.
Notes:
-
"Any" means "All"
-
- To ensure accurate salary calculation, students must be marked as Present, Late, Absent, or left Blank in the timetable.
By Teaching Hour Per Month
Salary is calculated based on total teaching hours. All scheduled time slots are included in the calculation.
Example:
If a staff member’s rate is $100 per hour and they teach 80 lessons totaling 80 hours, the salary will be:
80 hours × $100 = $8,000
Notes:
-
"Any" means "All"
-
- To ensure accurate salary calculation, students must be marked as Present, Late, Absent, or left Blank in the timetable.
By Percentage of Revenue
Salary is calculated based on the revenue generated from the lessons scheduled for the teacher. Receivables are considered as revenue for this calculation.
Example:
If the total receivable revenue is $20,000 and the staff rate is 50%, the staff member will receive:
$20,000 × 50% = $10,000
Notes:
-
"Any" means "All"
-
- To ensure accurate salary calculation, students must be marked as Present, Late, Absent, or left Blank in the timetable.
By Roster
Salary is calculated based on the staff roster, as set up in the staff profile.

Staff Roster – Beez Help Center
Example:
If the total working hours in the roster are 80 and the hourly rate is $100, the salary will be:
80 × $100 = $8,000
Flat Rate
Salary is paid as a fixed amount, regardless of hours worked or lessons taught.
Example:
If the basic salary is $10,000, the staff member will receive a fixed payment of $10,000.
Calculations by Lesson
Salary is calculated based on specific lesson metrics, allowing for complex salary policies.
Example:
-
For 0 to 3 students, the staff rate is 30% of the revenue per lesson.
-
For 4 or more students, the staff rate is 40% of the revenue per lesson.
If there are 4 students in a lesson, and each student pays $300, the salary calculation would be:
(300×3×30(300 × 3 × 30%) + (300 × 40%) = $390
You can customise different calculation rules to suit your company’s needs.
Notes:
-
"Any" means "All"
-
- To ensure accurate salary calculation, students must be marked as Present, Late, Absent, or left Blank in the timetable.
Calculations by Month
Salary is calculated based on monthly metrics, allowing for flexible and complex salary policies.
Example:
-
For revenue from $1 to $50,000, the staff rate is 5%.
-
For revenue from $50,001 to $100,000, the staff rate is 10%.
If the total revenue attributed to the staff is $80,000, the salary calculation would be:
(50,000 × 5%) + (30,000 × 10%) = $5,500
You can customise different calculation rules to meet your company’s specific needs.
Notes:
-
"Any" means "All"
-
- To ensure accurate salary calculation, students must be marked as Present, Late, Absent, or left Blank in the timetable.
Adjustment in Formula
Salary adjustments can be calculated using formulas. This feature is useful for deductions such as pension, tax, and other adjustments.
Example:
To deduct MPF at 5%, the formula can be:-IF(TOTAL > 7000, MIN(TOTAL * 0.05, 1500), 0)
